You can then control the opacity (1) and which layer (2) it appears on. Tap on the desired image to paste it into Sketch. You can view the images in your clipboard one at a time (or in a grid view). When you are in an app that recognizes Adobe Ink, you can hold the button on the stylus and tap the image. I highlighted the copy from Creative Cloud clipboard. When you do so, you only need click on the button on the stylus to be presented with a menu (shown below).

Remember that you can connect your Ink stylus to this app. I selected Market and then specified criteria as shown below.Īfter a bit of searching, I selected a wireframe set to use in the background (one can then trace around them). You also have access to the Adobe Market where a number of images and icons (many are free) are available for use. There are a number of sources where you can include background images from (camera or camera roll and files). You can see recent colors used or you can select colors form a background image (below). You can also use a color wheel and select any specific color desired. For example, since you are using your Creative Cloud id, you can access your Kuler themes. For starters, I wanted to focus on the free Adobe Sketch app. I thought it might be appropriate to cover some of the apps which take advantage of this hardware in greater detail.

Graphic is priced at $29.99, and there’s also an iPad version for $8.99.I recently reviewed the Adobe Ink and Slide hardware I obtained in June, 2014. Graphic from Indeeo includes a full set of vector drawing tools, supports multiple layers, imports and exports Adobe Photoshop file format, and supports OpenGL for faster rendering.

The developers say Vectr will always be free, and a paid pro account option with a built-in marketplace is coming at some point. They offer an app you can download, or a Web interface. The trade off is that it isn’t a feature-rich as some other options, but that’s OK because the tools beginners and casual users are all there. Vectr is another free vector art app, and it’s much easier to learn than Illustrator.

If you have the coding skills you can contribute to Inkscape’s feature list, too. Since it’s open source, new features are being added all the time. The app was conceived as an open source alternative to Illustrator, and does that really well. Inkscape is a surprisingly full-features vector graphic editor app, and it’s free.
